I am trying to update some content in a very old course created in Presenter. When I came to edit the quiz I got a message to say that I needed Quizmaker 09 (which I actually already have). I opened the quiz and QM09 and resaved it. In Powerpoint I deleted the slide containing the old quiz and attempted to insert the old quiz again (which I had just resaved via QM09). I got the message "Unable to create an instance of Quizmaker".

Be sure that you are working locally. It sounds as if you may need to conduct a repair of your software.
