Unlimited try not working
Jan 17, 2013
Hi there,
I've set my quiz up so there is a blank slide which explains a scenario and then a multi choice question about the scenario. I've got 3 blank slides and then a multichoice question after each blank slide.
I have set my template to show the question navigation drop down because I want the learner to be able to go back to the scenario if they need to refresh their memory when they read the question.
When I answer the multi choice incorrectly and then use the question nav drop down to go back and look at the previous scenario slide and then come back again to the question to try and answer it again, it does not allow me to select another question.
The radio buttons cannot be selected and I can see the last selection I made greyed out. I do have each question set to unlimited tries so I am not sure what I have done wrong. Any ideas?

Hi Lee,
It sounds like you're inserting the quiz into Presenter. Is that right? If so, have you checked the attempt settings in both Quizmaker and Presenter?
To check the settings in Presenter, click on the slide with the Quizmaker quiz to select it. Click on "Properties" on the bottom of the Quizmaker quiz, within the slide. You'll see a new window for Quizzes and Interactions. Under "Quiz Properties" you'll be able to see the attempt options here. If this setting looks correct, click on "Edit in Quizmaker" back on the slide. Then, double click on the question and check the number of attempts assigned to that question. Note: make sure you're in "Form View" to see this information.
If you've already checked this information, or you're not using this quiz in Presenter, just let me know.
Thanks!
Hi there,
No I am just making a stand alone quiz in Quiz Maker using the blank slide option to explain each scenario.
Hi Lee,
Great, thank you for that information. Any chance you can share the .QUIZ file for your project here? You're also welcome to send it to us privately.
Thanks!
OK - just sent it privately
