If you've reviewed those requirements and your system seems to be good to go, can you tell me exactly what's happening when you try to open Replay? Are you receiving an error, etc.?
Machine is running Windows 7 64-bit, has plenty of memory and drive space.
When I try opening Replay, the splash screen appears for about 10 seconds and then the generic error message that comes up so fast that I cannot capture it or read it.
Thanks for getting back to me and for the additional information!
Are you trying to open a file, or launch Replay on its own? If you're trying to open a file, please try launching Replay from its shortcut and see if it opens properly.
If you're trying to launch Replay on its own and it's crashing, please try following the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article:
I am having the same problem as above. I have tried the suggestion twice and another Administrator has also tried it with no luck. It is a new install and when I double click the Rplay icon I see the splashscreen and then an error pops up. We are having the same problem on two PCs.
Lauri mentioned she wasn't able to see what the error was, because it was closing too quickly. Is this the case for you as well, or are you able to share the error you're seeing?
If the erratic behavior troubleshooting steps didn't resolve the problem, knowing what the error is reporting would help us try to narrow down what's causing the problem.
If you or your administrator haven't already, try running the program with a profile that has admin privileges.
I could not see the error either as it was so quick, so I did a screen record with Articulate Studio and it is attached. Below is a grab of the error but not much help I am affraid.
Christine, thank you the update did the trick. It is now working, all I have to do now is learn how to use it. The tutorials on the site seem to be a wealth of knowledge.

Hi Lauri and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
First, I would recommend taking a look at the tech specs, to make sure your machine meets the minimum system requirements:
Installation > System Requirements for Articulate Replay
If you've reviewed those requirements and your system seems to be good to go, can you tell me exactly what's happening when you try to open Replay? Are you receiving an error, etc.?
Thanks!

Hi Hugh,
Thanks for sharing that - I'm afraid it doesn't shed much light on what's happening, however.
There's a few things we can try out, but we may just be shooting in the dark - hopefully we can hit what's causing this :)
First, let's try downloading an update for the software. Update 1 was released and that free update did fix a known issue with DirectX and launching.
Try downloading Update 1 from here:
Latest Version: Replay Update 1 (12/3/2013)
It may also help just to double-check and ensure that hardware acceleration is enabled in DirectX:
Articulate Replay Requires Video Hardware Acceleration
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!

Wonderful!
I'm very happy to hear that, Hugh :)
If there's anything we can do to help with the learning process, just let us know.
Have a great day!
Christine
