Mouse cursor capture is incorrect in Replay
Hi,
When I record my screen using Articulate Reply the mouse cursor seems to be off. When I play back the video, I see the cursor is not where I placed it during the recording. Can you please help?
Please see the attached screenshot for an example.
Hello Shah,
Thanks for taking the time to share what you're seeing! I'm sorry you ran into this.
We have an open issue in Replay 360 where the recording shows the mouse cursor in the wrong location. Specifically, when recording at a high resolution.
For now, one workaround is to set the scaling percentage to 100% in Display settings in Windows and then rerecord.
Let me know if that makes a difference!

For my specific device which is a Microsoft Surface laptop, the recommended resolution is 150% (please see attached screenshot). Although using 100% is a workaround for the Replay360 issue, using 100% is not ideal for me as it makes everything on my screen really small and difficult to read. Will you release an update so I can use the screen recorder in Replay360 at 150%?
Hi Shah,
Thanks for this extra context!
I'll share your experience in our internal report, and will keep you updated on any new developments. Here's a look into our bug process:

Help! Have there been any improvements or help for the issue with the cursor?

Just logged a case as this still seems like an issue from over 5yrs ago based on some of the threads I have read...wonder if its ever going to be fixed or if I need a new e-learning tool

It's really frustrating to see something like this still not fixed after 5 years!

Same problem here - another classic unresolved Articulate thread!

Same - Creating a screen cast using Replay. The recording shows the mouse nowhere near where I click. Seems like basic and core functionality that should work. Any updates?

Changing the display settings to 100% worked, but as already stated, the screen and type are very small.

Have to agree with what everyone is saying. While dialing it back to 100 works, you sacrifice quality. It's obvious after this much time has passed that this is not going to get changed.

Please fix this issue.

The suggested workaround to set the scaling percentage to 100% in Display settings in Windows helps with the cursor issue but there's a lot of dead space in the recording and the details of what I'm trying to show is very small and hard to see. It's disappointing to see this issue goes back 4 years and a better solution hasn't been found yet. Please fix.
