Need to record a published storyline file with Replay but Replay does not pick up the audio from the published storyline file

Jan 25, 2018

It seems that Replay only has two options for audio: either you insert audio or record audio from a microphone.

If replay captures and records what is on screen, why can it not pick up the audio?

Thanks!

Hi Sherri!

I'm happy to help here, but first I'd like to get a better idea of what you're stying to achieve. Would you like a MP4 video file of your Storyline content? Also, what version of Storyline are you using?

If you've got Storyline 360, you can now publish to a single MP4 video file. Then, you can insert it into another project or upload it to a video hosting site, such as YouTube.

Hello. My client wanted a video file captured from the storyline published course (which included audio).  The storyline content was in Storyline 2.  I do have Storyline 360 now but had not converted the Storyline 2 file to Storyline 360. I ended up playing the published content from the Storyline 2 version and using Replay to record. I then exported the audio from Storyline and imported it into Replay; and then I made the mp4 file from Replay. It sounds like I could have just used Articulate 360 and easily converted it to an mp4 file... That would have been so much easier!  We just got 360 so we have not started using it on any of our existing courses yet. We are planning on using it new courses coming up soon. I will check out the 360 conversion to mp4. Thank you so much for responding!
