Replay - how to insert an image in the middle of my screencast

Apr 20, 2016

I have recently created a screen cast recording and have noticed that when I pressed Ctrl + Alt + Del which then brought up a series of options (one of which was 'Change a Password') the recording appears black...nothing is recorded while on this screen. Therefore I would like to insert an image of what the screen should look like (if it was able to record it) however I don't seem to be able to click and drag the image into place. Can anyone help or explain why I cannot perform this function?

Hello Christie, thanks for your message :) I have looked at adding images however I still don't seem to be able to add the image in the middle of my screencast recording. For example, I've done a screen recording that is about 1 minute long and would like to insert the picture at about the 20sec mark however when I click to drag it into place nothing happens. Is it possible to place an image in the middle of a screen recording or does it need to be placed before or after the recording? If so I might have to do two separate recordings in order to insert the images where I want them.
Cheers,
Amy

Hi Amy,

It'll need to be placed before or after a recording in Replay. If you were to look at adding it to the other track you could do the "mix" of track b in track a - but otherwise they'd have to exist separately. You may want to take a look at the Replay tutorials available here.
