As you drag one object closer to the next one on the same track, you'll see a straight up/down line appear or a slant line. The straight line is just a quick transition from one thing to the next and the slant line is more of a fade transition between the two elements. If you keep dragging the object closer and just over the edge of the object next to it you should see the slant line appear.

I don't believe there is a way to lock the mix that you've made, but it sounds like a good feature request.
Sounds like its best to bring in everything you've got and then mix it?

How do I mix objects in Replay (Ex: intro music and static photo then gradually fade out while to my introduction video screen appears.
The objects in A&B will not slant to create the smooth transition.

What causes the slant on the mixer to appear? I joined two different object side by side but the slant does not occur.
