accessibility html output

Jan 08, 2015

We are just preparing a report and quote for a client who is requiring us to be compliant with 508 Accessibility Guidelines. As per the guidelines on the AS website, HTML5, and the Articulate Mobile Player are not compliant.

If I published my content using HTML, and not HTML5 as an output, would my content comply and be accessible?

Hi Cindy,

Our HTML5 and mobile player output does not match with 508 accessibility, but you could still publish with those options - it just wouldn't allow anyone accessing on a mobile device to have any of the accessibility features.

In regards to if your content would comply and be accessible, I'm not a 508 expert - but a lot of the accessibility elements are determined by what you include in the course and ensuring there are accommodations for things as described here.
