I'm interested in accessibility in courses created using Storyline 1.
I've read the information on Articulate's website regarding Section 508 but it would be helpful to have something similar mapping Storyline to the UK/European requirements, and I can't find anything - does anyone know of anything that might help?
I've created a Disability Awareness course using Storyline 1 and have made it as accessible as I possibly can. It's worth noting that my course has been thoroughly tested using applications like JAWS and it works quite well.
I'd like to improve my understanding of how the technical aspects of accessibility work, regarding how screen readers would interpret the content and so on - for example, do screen readers read aloud the names that I give to objects on slides, or can I continue to name them with my own abbreviations as I have before, things like that really.
In things I have worked on, the JAWS Reader will read alt text. Without this, the screen reader will read either the text in a slide object (such as a text box or caption) or the object name, as you mentioned. You can right click an object, select 'size and position,' and use the Alt Text tab to enter the alt text. Also select 'object is visible to accessibility tools.'

I'd be happy to share my findings with you....
Thanks Glenn, I'd appreciate that.

That really helps a lot Marc, thanks.
Glenn, I'm also quite interested in your findings.
Thanks!
