Accessible Slide Name

Nov 16, 2023

Hello. In Storyline 360, I'm creating a course with consideration for accessibility standards. When using a screen reader, it reads out the course and slide titles each time when transitioning between slides. Can you please advise on how to configure the course so that the screen reader doesn't read out the course and slide titles? Thank you.

Hello Andrii!

I'm happy to help! I understand that you're viewing your course and finding that the screen reader announces the Course Title and Slide Title when initially viewing a slide. Currently, there isn't a way to modify the course in a way that would hide the Course Title from a screen reader. However, I've tested this using NVDA as my screen reader and Microsoft Edge as the browser. I am not experiencing the Course Title read with the Slide Title. You can see my test here.

Are you viewing the course in preview mode, or is the course in its published output? If you are previewing the course in Storyline 360, then I would recommend testing your course and the screen reader experience in the published output environment.
