I'd like to make my Storyline course available on Blackboard Learn. Can you tell me how to publish for Learn and how to upload/insert. Learn asks for a URL and what I'm inserting isn't working! Thanks!
I can't speak to the specifics of Blackboard, but most LMS's require that you publish for LMS as detailed here and then zip and upload the entire SCORM output folder. If you need to point to a specific file within your LMS output folder, you'll want to use the index.html file as you'll see described at the bottom of that tutorial.
You can use the publish to web option if you simply want students to launch your Storyline course from Blackboard and don't need to track their progress, but for results to go to the gradebook you have to publish for LMS. In both cases, after your course has published, select the zip option and save that file to your computer. That's the file you need to upload to Blackboard. From there it gets a little tricky and depends on if you published for web or LMS. If you'll let me know the option you're using I'll be happy to provide some additional documentation.
I've attached 2 documents that show the settings I use when publishing to LMS for Blackboard. This took a bit of trial and error, which you'll see reflected in my notes. :) The Blackboard Articulate SCORM settings PDF documents the options that I select in Articulate, and the Add SCORM Content Word doc covers uploading to Blackboard. We used adaptive release to display a forum when students completed the Storyline module, but if you don't need that the first set of steps in the Add SCORM Content document should be enough. Note that we're just tracking as complete/incomplete, so you'll need to play around with the settings if you want to capture a score instead.
Hi Carol! Just wanted to let you know that replying to the forums via e-mail attaches your signature, but you are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.
Hi Elizabeth. Love your reply. I'm attempting to do the same thing but as a public course in blackboard and not tracking grades. Would you be so kind to attach those instructions as well if you have them :) Thx, Mike
