Adding a custom plugin to the player?
Feb 11, 2015
The Wolfram Demonstrations Project is an open-code resource that uses dynamic computation to illuminate concepts in science, technology, mathematics, art, finance, and a remarkable range of other fields. The interactions are displayed via a browser plugin. More information can be found here:

In Storyline 2, we want to users to be able to interact with these interactions. One way to do this would be to use a web object, but that working is dependent on users having the plugin already installed in their browser. Is there a way that Storyline could install the plugin automatically (or somehow be added to the player), so the animations could be displayed seamlessly?
Thanks,
-Ed

Hello Edward,
There would not be a way to have a plug in automatically installed through Storyline. If you have a link to a download page, you could add it in as a resource in the player, or you could hyperlink to it somewhere in the course. Maybe on a starting slide?
I suspected as much. Thanks for the quick response. -Ed
