Adding alt-text to videos

Jan 27, 2023

Hello!

I already know that I can add alt text to objects to make a course accessible (as explained in this tutorial: https://community.articulate.com/articles/storyline-3-adding-alternate-text-for-screen-readers), but I would like to know how I can add alt text to a video, where (for instance) a teacher is demonstraing something (i.e. showing an experiment, a chart, and so on) or is making an action (i.e. eating spaghetti, drinking a glass of water...).

I thought about adding invisible tabs or graphics to the video and adding alt-text to those, but I wanted to know if there's another way.

Thanks

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out!

Looks like you're already familiar with how to add alternative text to objects in a slide.

If you are unable to add the additional information in the available fields, you can check out this article which lists some methods on how to make video content accessible.

Hope this helps!
