Adding Multiple Triggers to one button

Dec 19, 2014

Hello,

This is what I'm trying to create: There are four images of people on the page. When you click on each person, you can read a blurb about them. Then, you read a statement and drag and drop one of four types of styles onto the appropriate person. What I'm having a hard time figuring out:

  1. How do I make the statements change? (I thought about a next button but I don't know how to make that button have multiple triggers)
  2. How do I link a drag and drop to a specific statement or make this page work with multiple drag and drop scenarios?

Here is a wireframe of what I'm thinking.

Thank you to anyone that can help :)

Hi Josy

1. If you create four text boxes one for each statement and have them in a hidden state to begin with. Learner clucks first button which has a trigger change state of text box 1 to normal when user clicks and do that for each one.

2. There are states for drag and drop : drag correct and drag incorrect that you should be able to use.

hope that helps

Hi Wendy,

I think I get number one. I'll try it and see if it works. I have 10 statements that users have to click through and then click and drag one of the four (demanding, discussing, visioning and reasoning) onto the images.

I don't understand your solution for number 2. I need a different drag and drop correct answer for each of the 10 statements.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Josy

Maybe I don't understand

do they see statement one then have to D&D an object/text box onto the image. If they choose demanding and it's not correct you would have a trigger that changes state to drop incorrect and display incorrect feedback? If they choose discussing and it's correct your trigger would change state to drop correct and display correct feedback.

if you want to upload the story can take a look

Hi Wendy,

They see statement 1, then they have to drag an object ("discussing" for example) onto an image above. I know how to do the drag and drop portion. One of the things I'm having trouble with is how do I get the statements to change? I was thinking of a next button, but then I am having problems having one next button link to multiple statements. I tried to hide statements and then trigger them to appear by changing the state but it doesn't seem to work.
