Advanced Creative Quiz Problems

Mar 17, 2015

I am working with Storyline 1 and have come up with a creative quiz.  The premise is that for every question you will get to pick a box.  That box will have a money value in it.  At the end you see how much money you can earn.  But miss one question and your done!

So far I have

  • Random quiz bank of 7 questions.
  • Randomized money values that you can click on.
  • Question that leads to the board to pick a box then back to the question bank.

But I have run in to a problem.  When I go back to the question bank it always goes back to the same question in the completed state.  Is there anyway to jump in and out of questions in the question bank?

The next problem I know I will run in to is getting the money value squares to go back to the initial state without the user being able to click all of the boxes.

If I can get these problems fixes I can add a variable that adds up to 5 and then takes the user to the result screen.

I know this may seem a little confusing in writing but when you preview the quiz out it makes a bit more scene.  I've included my scene.  Please let me know if this is possible, or if i am just spinning my wheals.

Hello Nathan,

This is behaving as designed. When you pull from a bank the first time, it will draw them randomly, however upon returning to the same bank, they will not randomize a second time, as you have already drawn from that bank.

You may want to look into using several different banks, or using individual quiz slides between the content.

If you would like the banks to behave differently upon a second attempt, you could submit a feature request here.
