Advancing to a slide of a different scene on tablet

Jan 24, 2019

Hello there!

I'm experiencing the following problem:

I'm working with a question bank and need to create a Project for both PC and Tablet. In have a quiz title slide on which I put a button "Start Quiz" that jumps to the "Draw from [Question Bank Name]" slide. The button works perfectly fine as I click it with the mouse, but when I tap it in tablet mode of my Notebook it's not working. Every other button works as expected.

My co-worker is experiencing a very similiar, if not basically the same Problem with a button that directs to a slide of a different Scene. It works by mouseclick, but not by tap.

There seems to be an issue with the Transition from one Scene to another, but as I described, it only occurs when the button is tapped.

Has anyone come across this before? Any suggestions on how to solve it?

Many thanks,

Christina

Hi Christina,

What version of Storyline are you using? You'll want to make sure you're using a tablet and a browser that's supported and you can find those listed in the system requirements below:

Let me know if you're using one of those browsers/devices and still running into trouble!

Hey Ashley!

I'm using Storyline 360 and tried Publishing for Web as well as LMS, also the issue arises in the preview. I've been testing on a HP Elitebook which has a Touchscreen/Tabletmode and runs on Windows 10. It meets/exceeds all the System requirements. I've tested in Internet Explorer as well as Firefox (latest versions).

One Info that I would like to add is, that the button is located on the (master) layout, not directly on the slide.

As I mentioned, the other Buttons work just fine. A second Problem - which might be connected to this one - is about a button that should Show a layer. It's excactly the same Thing, works by click, not by touch, but this button in contrary is not the master but on the slide itself (I've created a separate discussion for that though).

Thank's a lot.
