I have an issue with trying to align the top of the menu with the slide area, it appears that the slide area does align with the bottom on the menu but is there a way to adjust the slide are to be top justified and aligned with menu in the player? Thanks!
Quick update, I do see that that space above the slide area is related to the Title setting in the player. However, if unselected the empty space remains, is it possible to customer player to remove the title?
In addition to Ashley's suggestion Tim, from your image it looks like you've removed the title and any top tab elements and it lines up perfectly with your left pane tab.
The varying colors seems to call attention to any difference - example using default player:
If I change the left pane to match the main background, it makes a bit more sense:
Player Properties > Colors & Effects > Advanced Color Editing > Base (Main Background/Left Pane Background)
Hopefully one of these will be able to assist you :)

You may want to look at the options here for a chromeless player. That would get you closer to what you'd like to see.
