All inserts result in top left quadrant only

Hi, I'm new to Articulate Storyline and have just opened the application for the first time. All my inserts result in only the top left quadrant of the character or shape being inserted. The body of my characters are to the left of the head, instead of directly underneath the head. There must be a simple solution, but it has me stumped!
