Alternative for Non-Flash users?

Oct 28, 2013

Course modules uploaded to LMS include HTML5 option.  When student tries to open module, is being redirected to message that says he must install Flash on computer.  Installing Flash is not an option.  He is using IE9 so is not the browser. Suggestions?

Hi E,

As you'll see detailed here within the viewing system requirements, if viewing within Internet Explorer, you'll need to have Flash enabled. If you'd like to view the HTML5 content, the options are listed below:

Content Format
Flash:

Flash Player 10 or later (http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash), and one of the following browsers:

  • Windows: Internet Explorer 6 and later, Firefox 1.x and later, Safari 3 and later, Google Chrome, Opera 9.5 and later
  • Mac: Safari 3 and later, Firefox 1.x and later, Google Chrome
  • Linux: Firefox 1.x and later
HTML5:
  • Google Chrome 14 or later on Windows or Mac
  • Safari 5.1 or later on Windows or Mac
  • Mobile Safari in Apple iOS 5.0 or later on iPad
Apple iOS: Articulate Mobile Player; Apple iOS 5.0 or later on iPad
