No option to choose HTML5?

Jun 30, 2022

Hello,

My coworker has just installed a free trial version of Storyline 360. When he tries to publish a course, there option to choose a format between HTML5 and Flash is not there at all, but I have it. Also, on the right-hand side the tab says "LMS/LRS" where mine just says LMS. I added a screenshot as attachment.

Does he have a different version of Storyline 360 than me, or why are our interfaces different? If he publishes a course, will it automatically be HTML5, or why is there no option to choose anymore?

Thanks for anyone who can help! :)

Best regards, Henna

Hi, Henna.

Thank you for reaching out!

Since Adobe discontinued Flash in December 2020, you can no longer publish in that format from Storyline, so when you choose "Web", it automatically publishes to HTML5. Take a look below for additional information:

That option was removed from Storyline 360 in the March 2021 version (Build 3.50.24668.0).

Support for LRS was released in build 3.58.26627.0, in November 2021.

You can make sure you're using the latest version of Storyline 360 by launching the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and clicking the Update button next to Storyline. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

I hope this helps!

flash is dead

Since Adobe is no longer supporting Flash Player after the EOL Date, Adobe blocked Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021 to help secure your system. Flash Player may remain on your system unless you uninstall it.
