Android - Easy Mthod for Students to Download Course

Apr 04, 2014

Hi, I know this question might seem a little silly, i have just started using articulate storyline to create interactive study guides for students and need a little help when it comes to publishig.

I upload the published articulate project to a website for the students. Students using the iPad download and view the course easily. However, students using android devices are having trouble downloading the articulate project directly to thier device. So in order to get it to work they first have to download the project to a pc then send it manually to the device.  Is there a simpler solution to work around this? I dont want something like this to discourage them.

As Ashley mentioned, Android is not supported yet in Storyline's HTML5 output and therefore you may run into some issues with functions not working as expected. Technically, you can convert HTML5 output into an Android app and make the link to the app available to your students (either as a URL or as a QR code), which they can then install (download) on their devices. I had tested this a while back, see some info on the process here. It might be worth a try, although I expect that you would run into all sorts of issues, considering the sheer number of Android devices, screen sizes, OS versions, etc.
