Animation is not in the cards

I have attached a file with one screen from an course I am working on.

When the screen loads, three "cards" animate from the left. 

User can either click "cards" or numbered buttons at bottom of page to see information. Each click updates the value of a variable [currentstep] and shows the next card. At card 3, user must click on button 1 to repeat. The beginning animation repeats consistently, but exit animations for cards 1 and 2 do not work after first run through.  Is there some kind of refresh that has to occur?

Any suggestion on improving functionality is going to be helpful.
