Animation without motion path

Hi all

Can anyone help me with following animation.

I have to give some explanation about each paint layer in what we call a "paint system"

slide 1.1 in attached storyline = overview of the "paint system"

when clicking on a butten, a new slide appears with the chosen layer which is a little higher/more visible

In powerpoint one can animate this with a motion path, thus the layer moves upwards from out of the main image

does anyone has an idea how to emulate this in storyline?
