Animations not appearing correctly in IE

Hi!

I’m having some problems with animations not showing correctly in IE. The course is built in Storyline 2. I tried to search the forum for similar posts but didn’t find any and I’m in a hurry to get this solved (why do these problems always appear on a Friday, last week before deadline!?).

OK, so here’s my problem:

I’ve built scenarios by animating numerous pictures (flying in from here and there, fading in, fading out etc.) on the timeline and in seperate layers. It has all worked just fine until today when I realized that it looks completely insane in IE (we’re like ten people who have continuously reviewed the course, none of us has seen this before). It’s as if the course gets hit with this massive lag and content gets delayed, only partially fades in or doesn’t show at all. If it shows, it doesn't fade out when it's supposed to. Even very simple feedback layers (consisting only of a square-shaped background, some text and a button to hide the layer -  no fancy stuff) that are triggered to appear on button click won’t fade in as supposed. It still looks fine in Chrome though.

I can't attach the SL-file right now but i'll attach a few screenshots. The Chrome screenshots show how it's supposed to look (rain falling down, window wipers wiping, deer sliding in from left, car hitting breakes). The IE screenshot shows that in IE layers just "lingers" (if they appear at all), very messy looking.

I'm quite new to Storyline. Does anyone recognize this problem? Do you know what could cause it? Is there anything I can do to fix it? The course would be so flat without these animations!
