I have answers in quizzes that include text and pictures that are grouped. I have selected the shuffle option for the answers. The answers shuffle in the previews, but don't when published. I want them to randomize each time the user takes the quiz.
Hi, Brian! Sorry to hear of your difficulties! May I ask if you are finding the same behavior when you test your published output in the intended environment as described here? You are also welcome to share your file and we'll be happy to check it out! :)
I have the problems when the programs are published and loaded on the
web. I shared the file with customer support. I also shared files a few
weeks ago to customer support and didn't get any help.
Hi, Brian -- Many thanks for your reply, and I see that in your previous case from 2/15/16 (#00737489), our engineer Victor replied with the following:
"We have reviewed your project file and we were able to duplicate your issue. I have submitted your case to our Quality Assurance team for their review. Unfortunately I was unable to determine a workaround. We recommend that you keep your installation of Storyline updated to the latest build for it may contain patches that may address this issue.
I cannot offer a time frame for when or if this issue will be resolved. However, we'll keep you posted on any updates on this case."
And I also see that your most recent case, #00741085, from today (2/25/16) has been received by our Support team. I will be sure to make a note of your message here in your post and will continue to monitor their progress.
I've been recreating many of these slides. The main issue seems to be
that if a picture is included in a grouped answer, the answers won't
shuffle. A group can include text or shapes created in Storyline and
still shuffle, but not pictures. But, pictures as answers will shuffle
when not in a group.
The problem with the states not changing correctly in that file also
seems to be tied to grouped pictures with a shape. I ungrouped them and
made the duck pictures shuffle without the circles.
My problem is I still have another thousand slides to edit.
I appreciate the follow-up, Brian, and I see that a new reply has been sent by Victor offering a potential workaround. Please review that information and reply to him via email so that your correspondence can be tracked accordingly in your case. I will be sure to follow along!
Or again, if you would feel comfortable and would like to share your file here, there may be others in the community who might have ideas or suggestions they could offer beyond the workaround you've been offered. If you'd like to upload your file here, simply use the grey ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left of the reply box and browse from there.
