Any way to assign points per multiple response checkbox? I'm hoping to create a Checklist that can be calculated..

Hi, I'm trying to create a course (personal project to learn Rise + Storyline) in Rise 360. I'm hoping to create something like a checklist for users to calculate how much they score in a diagnostic criteria.. I'm thinking of creating it in Storyline 360, but I realized I can't seem to use "multiple response" to create this checklist.. Is there any tutorial to guide me on how I can create a checklist that allows us to calculate the result?

Hi Latifa,

You can use checklist, variable and some triggers to do the math in Storyline and insert it as a SL block in Rise.

  1. Create as many checklist items you need.
  2. Set a numeric variable, CountPoint, with initial value equal to 0.
  3. Create a button for submitting the result.
  4. Set triggers for each checklist item: Add value points to variable CountPoint when clicking the submit BTN on the condition if the checklist item is selected.

Hi Joanne. Sorry, i'm still relatively new to Storyline.. I don't know how you can set numeric variable, countpoint etc.. Do you mean i create a manual checkbox and assign trigger to it, instead of using "Quiz" or "Survey" questions?

is there a similar tutorial i can see how it's done? i tried to search but can't seem to find..
