I have created a 100 question randomized quiz. I feel like the argument is going to be that there isn't a way to alert the employee before submitting which questions they left blank. Is there a way to have either a page before they submit that shows which questions they left blank or to force them to answer each question before submitting? We have the Articulate 360 suite so if it can be done in something other than SotryLine, I would be open to changing over.
It sounds like you've stored the questions in a question bank, is that right?
Instead of allowing learners to skip slides using the previous/next buttons, could you instead add a submit button on every slide? This will ensure the learner submits each question as they go through the quiz.
That's correct. Unfortunately we are trying to mock a pre-test the way the actual test will be if they pass our pretest. It's a timed test where they can skip through but the actual test allows them to flag a question to remind them to return to it. I was hoping there were at least a way prior to submitting that they would know if they left something blank.
That makes sense! You can certainly ask learners to confirm that they've answered all the questions before they proceed to the result slide. Check out this tutorial to find out how!
Here's a quick demo I put together to show you how it works. I hope that helps!
Hmm, that is odd. When I clicked Review Quiz, the numbering went back to #1, but then I would click ahead four or five questions before the numbering would change to #2. Is that also what you are seeing?
Are you seeing the odd numbering occur in Preview, publish or both? I tested the Preview quick, and I saw it drop back to 1, which is expected based on the trigger to reset it to 1, but once I clicked next again it kept adding to it as normal.
If you can shed a bit more light on how you're testing, that'll help me narrow it down!
That's what I'm noticing. When the user is going through the test, the numbering works just fine with going forward and backward. It's when they get to the page to either review or submit that when they review it only advances every other slide. When the user submits the quiz and gets their result, if they hit review...the numbers don't move at all.
Thanks, Gerald. It's definitely odd as it was working normally for me in Preview but I saw in Publish that clicking "Review" brought me back to the start and only after clicking 2-3 times did the number start changing.
I'm going to start a case so that our Support Engineers can take a look!
Good news! We fixed the issue where the Adjust variable trigger in the next button doesn't work when revisiting a graded question slide if the previous button trigger is above the next button trigger. You can no longer place the previous trigger above the next trigger.

Thanks for that, Alyssa. I have something similar so I'll just go with it.
One quick thing...can you (or anyone) see right off why the numbering works fine until I hit review quiz or to click on the results?

That's EXACTLY what is happening to me... :(

Here's how to install the latest Storyline 360 update to see all the recent enhancements and fixes.
If the problem reappears, please record a Peek 360 screencast for me, and I'll be happy to help!
