Applying a Change to all Slides

I'm sure this has been addressed before, so I apologize if this is a repeat question.

I am designing my first course and have had to make changes to states and triggers that I'd like to apply to other slides.  Is there a way for me to apply these changes to every slide or selected slides? If so, how?  I know how to change slide properties, but not more basic functions.
