Articulate Mobile Player and SCORM audio issues

Oct 12, 2017

I am having issues with running Storyline 3 SCORM files on my iPhone.  I finally was able to get the published file to open on my iPhone through our LMS, however, I am not getting any sound.  I have published the SCORM file 3 different ways (HTML5, HTML5/Flash, Flash/HTML5).  For the options with Flash, I check marked the "Use Articulate Mobile for iOS and Android.  However, when I access the file through our LMS, I am not asked if I want to download or use Articulate Mobile.

What am I doing wrong? I need to be able to have my learners access the SCORM files through our LMS on mobile devices.

Everything works great on the desktop.

Thanks

Clint

Hey Clint!

Sorry to hear that you're running into an issue with this.

Our tutorial here for publishing Storyline 3 content for mobile devices is really good.

That being said, you mention a mobile phone and the Apple Store, and the Articulate Mobile Player is an iPad app. You would want to view the HTML5 output on your iPhone via Safari.

So, let's go backwards. About the sound not working, was the phone muted perhaps?

I use audio a lot, and video with audio.

One thing I did notice, that's odd about playing on safari through iphone, sometimes I can hear the audio regardless of whether my phone has the ringer/sound off (which is almost always) and sometimes I can only hear it if I toggle the ringer/sound once it starts playing.
