That one. :-) You can't change the built-in buttons, except for the label, colors, and effects (glow and shadow). But if you want a different shape and location, you would have to create your own buttons and put them on the master slides/layouts or individual slides.
Exactly what Chris mentioned - although depending on your skill level with Flash coding, you could always customize your own Storyline player using the SDK.
Setting up your own buttons on a master slide is a common practice here in the forums, so if you're in need of examples I'd suggest searching through the forums for what other users have done.
