Articulate Storyline 2 -- Retry Quiz and Consolidate Questions
Dec 29, 2016
Hi there!
I recently created a course containing quiz questions that are scattered throughout, instead of consolidated at the end. The problem is, if a learner takes the quiz, fails, and then clicks the 'Retry' button, s/he is taken back to the first quiz question, but then has to use the course navigation menu to jump around to the rest of the questions in order to retake them. There are about 30 questions and some learners have been missing some of them because of this when retaking. A temporary workaround I have come up with is to duplicate all the quiz questions and place them in a single scene, so that when the learner clicks 'Retry', they are taken to that scene and can retake all the questions in one place. However, this results in there being two separate results slides, which makes things difficult for grade reporting (from what I can see, Storyline 2 only allows choosing one results slide for reporting back to the LMS).
Is there a way to keep the questions separate throughout the course, but if a learner has to retry the quiz, s/he is allowed to take the questions linearly, without duplicating the quiz questions and the results slide? Thanks!

Hi there, Ritchie! This is a popular topic, and there's a great video tutorial out there by one of our Heroes, Rebecca Fleisch Cordeiro, on how to retake (or review) a quiz and skip content slides!
Hopefully this gets you pointed in the right direction!
Hey Ritchie and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
That would be a custom design set-up and hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and assist here.
I did put together a very brief example showing how you could utilize a variable to get this to work and 'skip' content slides when retrying the quiz.
Perhaps this can at least get you started.
