Articulate Storyline Quiz - Matching Several Items to one Target
Dec 07, 2016
I have a request to match the items on the left with the items on the right. I tried a freeform drag and drop with all of the items on the left and three items on the right. But the drag text covers the target. I would prefer the form matching, but it requires a one to one match, and that's a problem when you have duplicate drag items (items on the right). Any ideas how I can achieve this request?
Thanks!

Hi there Jack! I'll defer to the community for their expertise on slide design, but here are a few sources of inspiration to get you started!
Hi Jack
this example I did recently may help you
Thank you Alyssa, a ton of incredible examples / ideas in your links.
Wendy,
Thank you for your reply. Your DD_multiple items source is very similar to what I came up with. Yours is very attractive, mine not so much given the large drag and drop text boxes. I need more real estate or fewer objects! Thanks again!
hi Jack
maybe this example will give you an idea
Wendy,
Wow, that is an incredible slide. Thank you! I have become so lazy with storyline, I did not think to code! It is elegant. Anyway to convert it to an interaction?
Hi Jack
should be able to convert to a freeform pick one - add two buttons offstage : correct and incorrect which will be entered on the form view as the answer choices
Trigger the correct button to be selected when user clicks submit button on condition all the drop items are correct and trigger the incorrect button to be selected when user clicks submit button on condition that correct button is not equal to selected.
you may need to tweak some of my exisiting triggers for the D&D
shout out if you need help
Thanks a million Wendy. Been working on it. Will reply again when I get it done or give up ;)!
Jack
Fantastic, it works!!!! Thanks a bazillion Wendy!
Gratzie Jack - I accept your bazillion thanks - you've made my Friday - good luck with your project!
I attached a two slide example (quiz question slide and quiz results). See the notes section for a description of the template and instructions.
Great job Jack - glad you worked it out!
