Articulate Storyline - Storysize

Mar 09, 2020

Good afternoon,

We will be cutting over to a new LMS in the next few weeks and I have a silly question regarding Story Sizing.

For the last few years, we have been using AS3 files with a;

  • Custom Width of 1365 & a
  • Custom Height of 768

These dimensions fit in nicely with our existing LMS and I am curious to know if I need to change any Width / Height dimensions moving onto the new LMS.

Maybe it's a question for the new LMS vendor but any guidance would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Anthony.

The LMS receives the project as files, and the only size that matters to it is the file size. Then it sends it off to the end learner to their screen, usually in a web browser, and that is the place in the process when the size you are referring to matters. So if you haven't chosen a strange ratio, how it looks will depend mostly on the size and display characteristics of the learner.

OK thanks Walt. I've published a version of rise into a sandbox environment of the new LMS and it fits in (top and bottom) perfectly.

When I publish using Articulate Storyline 3, the SCORM file (when viewed on a PC screen) appears to be centered with lot's of 'white space' between the top, bottom and sides of the Scorm file and the LMS borders.
