Articulate Storyline window/player pixel size??
Aug 23, 2012
eLearning Superheroes,
My client has to input window and/or player size data into their LMS. So, the settings in Storyline like 'Resize to fill screen,' 'Display at user's current browser size,' etc. a can't be applied to their system. Basically, the LMS requires that we put an exact window size (e.g., 720x540) into their data file.
Here's the problem: Yes, my story size is 720x540, but I don't know how many pixels are added for my player. My player has volume control, Prev/Next buttons, and a title bar with the resources tab. Basically, everything except the side menu.
What I need to know: How many additional pixels should I add to the height and width? According to an Articulate tutorial (http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/changing-the-browser-settings-and-player-size.aspxhere) :
Depending on the features and controls you've included on your player, the player can add between 20 and 260 pixels to the width of your course, and between 20 and 118 pixels to the height
Please help if you can! We're going live next week, and this is the final hurdle!
THANKS!

Hi Sarah.
I think you just need to punch in those numbers until you find the right ones for your particular project. If you Google "pixel ruler" you might be able to find something online to help you get more exact dimensions.
You could just take a screenshot and open it up in PhotoShop and get the pixels. Or use Web developer toolbar or Insepct Element in Chrome to see a ruler.
