Assessing and reporting in Storyline

Aug 26, 2020

Hi. I have 4 Storyline course files published to SCORM 1.2. Users complete a course, exit it on completion and then select one of 3 MCQ assessments to take, depending on role. Their MCQ assessment score is recorded.

My question - is it possible to incorporate quiz questions / MCQs at various points *within* a course which will automatically record individual user's scores, as an alternative to having a stand alone MCQ assessment?

When my course was built several years ago, I was advised by the developer I used that it was not possible, as the framework for building recordable assessments was separate to that of a course.  Things may have changed since then.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Hi Andrew, it is possible to incorporate questions within the content and have the questions processed by a results slide so that a score is recorded. There is no need to have these as four separate SCORM objects. It could definitely be re-designed as a single module which branches to the three different assessments.

The only difference is you might have more trouble identifying who did what assessment, with it being a single SCORM object on the LMS.
