Assistance with Programming

Jul 16, 2015

Hello E-Learning Heroes,

There is an option for programming Triggers, "When the user right clicks".  I am unable to get this feature to work while testing the functionality of the course.  Any ideas?

Hello Terry,

In our system, the member will need to utilize the right click, even for a simple copy and paste.  In my research on the issue I found this article..  issues all over the place for the Flash based output.  Thanks for responding.

I've had a discussion with the support staff about this, and it seems like the only options to fix the right click problem in the latest update is to force HTML5 output.

When you publish you can link directly to the story_html5.story, or if you use the TinCan API for publishing then your can specify the launch URL when your publish the course.

If you cannot force HTML5 in your LMS then they suggested to:

add instructions at the start of your course to have your users use Google Chrome and how to temporarily disable Flash Player. After completing the course, your users can re-enable Flash Player. Here's how:
Enable or disable Adobe Flash Player:
1. Type chrome:plugins in the address bar to open the Plug-ins page.
2. On the Plug-ins page that appears, find the "Flash" listing. To enable Adobe Flash Player, click the Enable link under its name. To disable Adobe Flash Player completely, click the Disable link under its name.

Hopefully this is addressed in the next update when that comes out.

Hope this helps!
