At the End of my Tether

Aug 18, 2015

I am at the end of my tether with Storyline 2. Update 6 has just literally wrecked our project, and going back to V5 works, but crashes every day, usually on save and publish.

This is the most terribly produced piece of software I've ever seen and Articulate should be ashamed of themselves for their awful lack of support and making their community support what is a terrible piece of software.

On paper, it's great (I've been a user since the start, v1) and my frustration is beyond bounds. My employees have lost literally months worth of man hours because of this un-tested software.

Sort your act out Articulate or I'm moving on and will be demanding a full refund.

Yours, annoyed and unsupported.

Hi Hugh,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've run into and your frustration with our Support as well. I took a look to see if I could find a case associated with the issues you mentioned here, but I don't see one associated with your name. Perhaps it was submitted under a different name or from a colleague of yours - and if you have a case # I'd be happy to check into that and see what else our team can do to assist with the issues you've mentioned.

You mentioned Update 6 wrecked your project, and that update was specific to the issues with content not displaying in the latest update of Chrome when viewing the HTML5 output - so I'm unclear on what issues that may have caused with your file. If update 5 is crashing when you're going through the publishing process we do have a number of troubleshooting steps and guidelines in terms of working on your project files that may likely have been shared as a part of your case - but if you haven't submitted a case yet you can do so here so that our team can take a look at your project files.

Please let me know what else we can do to assist, as this is not the experience we'd expect you to have with our software or Support team.
