Is it possible to select an audio file that is background music for the entire project? I saw that Presenter was able to do that, but can't figure out how to do it in storyling
This is an ooooh so popular topic! There currently isn't a way to create the same type of background music in Storyline, like you would in Presenter. However, there are quite a few absolutely awesome suggestions floating around on the forums that may help you accomplish the same effect.
Here's a technique for looping videos on the slide masters. It will work for your audio clip, too. Your clip should be designed to loop so there isn't a hard stop/start each time it loops.
I tried the looping audio suggestion and theres still a ever so slight delay between loops making it too clunky to use. This is true even though the raw audio when played in a application like Logic is completely seamless.
I think the best approach is to reintroduce audio playlists back into the product.

Here's another thread that may help:
How do you play a single song as background music?
