Audio file starts playing automatically - is there a way for it not to start automatically using only the player buttons?

Jul 08, 2021

Hi, I have an image with an audio file (case scenario) and I'm using the player with the Play/Pause buttons activated. I'm importing these individual slides into Rise 360 and have 4 scenarios on one assignment page. So, they all star playing at the same time. I need the audio to start when the user clicks the 'play' button from the player, rather than me having to create a button. Is this possible?

I appreciate any recommendations.

Hello Catia, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you would like to see with your Storyline block in Rise 360.

Yes. It is possible.

  1. Add a trigger in Storyline 360 to pause the timeline when the timeline starts:
  2. When you scroll to the Storyline block in Rise 360, the learner will need to click the play button to start the audio:

Let us know how this works for you and if you have any additional questions.
