Audio Normalization
May 18, 2017
Hello All:
I have a Storyline presentation that I am trying to make sound as smooth as possible. The issue is that the sound volume is variable, sometimes drastically so, between slides. I know that when you publish the file, there is a normalization feature of sorts. This does not appear to be sufficient. Aside from going through painstakingly slide by slide and attempting to modify the volume, any ideas out there?
Also, is there a way to quickly add a second of silence after each slide before it auto-progresses to make it sound less choppy?
The project is a combination of video captures (all done in one sitting) and standalone audio files...so I don't know if I can do much here.

Hi Wilhelm,
You can increase the volume of the clips that need adjusting using the Audio Tools Options tab.
To add a second or two of silence at the end of each slide, simply click and drag the end of the timeline. You could also add silence at the end of the audio file within the Audio Editor.
Best of luck!
