I can't figure out how to have the audio continue to play as the user selects a word (hot spot) which has a layer of text explaining the definition word.
I never had it checked. I am really new to Storyline and this is happening on all of the slides that I have layers. However, that box is not checked in the properties. I am using triggers and hotspots to show the layers.

Hello Marie,
You can try to open the layer settings (gear icon next to the layer name).
In these settings, be sure to uncheck the box next to the option 'Pause timeline of the base layer'.
