Audio timing is not syncing with a video (playing from a streaming vendor) within my course.

Aug 11, 2015

I've produced several videos including audio tracks and embedded them via 'insert video\from website' in Storyline.  I've had good luck on about a dozen, but one file in particular is giving me trouble.   I have several small audio files in sequence that play fine, but I have about a minute of audio at one point with some sound effects (beeps) that need to fall correctly with the video / visuals.  The video works fine locally, and plays fine from the streaming service, BUT, once I publish, those beeps (that minute of audio) is perhaps 30 seconds off / ahead of where they should play.   Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, Dave -- Sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing, but there are a few troubleshooting steps we can try first to rule out the causes of some common problems.

Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on the latest update can be found here

One more thing to verify is that you are testing your published output in the intended environment. Please see this article for more information.

If issues persist, you are welcome to share your file so we can take a closer look for you. Please use the ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left corner of the reply box in the thread, and you can browse for the file from there. Please also note that if you reply via email, your attachment will not appear here in the thread.
