Automated Language Translation in Storyline and Rise
Jan 21, 2020
Storyline and Rise both have translation import/export options. Companies typically charge 10p per word to translate into different languages, our courses are very large 8 hours and 5 hours long. To translate this amount of content into multiple languages will be very expensive. Is there a way we can add a Google translate widget (or similar) to the courses?
Could we export as SCORM and embed in a LMS / VLE and then add the widget to the HTML page? or add the published pages into an iframe with the widget on the top level page?
Surely there is a way of using an automated translation service as opposed to getting someone to go through word for word, importing and creating multiple versions of the same course which elearning authors won't be able to read when changes are required?

Hi Hugh!
We do have a way of translating the text using either Export to XLIFF or Export to Word! You can find the step by step directions here.
If you're looking for voice translation, then I bet someone in the community can point you to the right tool!
