Automatically display course title on slide?

May 22, 2014

I am looking to do a couple of things with the course title in my Articulate Storlyline projects.

1) I am creating a template, and the first slide will contain the course title, which should exactly match the course title in in the publish settings

2) Create a printable results slide that includes the course title, which (again) should exactly match the course title in the publish settings

Is there a way to pull this data in to the slide from the publish setting? or if I put the course title on the first slide, can i pull it from there into the results slide?

Hi Bobbi,

You won't be able to pull the data from your publish settings, so you'd have to manually enter it on the main slide/result slide. If you place the course title on the first slide, you could set a variable to match it - and then reference that variable on the results slide - but it would probably be an extra step instead of just manually entering it. If you're looking to have the user print the actual slide, instead of using the print results button which generates a new HTML page with the results for the user to print, you'll need to set up some Javascript to direct the course to print. That's something I'll defer to the community on how to set up.
