Have a look at the attached file and see if that's what you want. There are two audio files on the baselayer, the first one is played when the slide's timeline starts; the second one is played when a True/False variable changes. This variable is changed at the end of the layer's timeline. There are lots of possible variations on this theme, but I hope the example gets you 'unstuck'.

FYI: This solution did not play nicely with the iPad. I ended up having to just create another layer that duplicated the base layer.
