Big size differences between files

Jul 15, 2015

Hi all!

I was wondering, why is such a big difference between the .zip file with the entire project which I'll upload somewhere to be online and the .story file ?

In my case, .zip file has 15MBs and .story file has 125MBs. What happens between?

Any thoughts ?

Hi Timotei,

I'm not sure I understand the question entirely, but the published output zip file includes some compression of project elements and a different set of files/resources than what are linked in the .story file itself. For example, when you link a media file into your .story file - that original media file size is accounted for in the .story file, but upon publish - there is some compression that will happen to allow for you to have the highest possible quality at the lowest possible file size.

Hope that helps clarify.
