Firstly, I hope everyone had a safe and happy christmas.
I have returned to work after a four day break to find that all of my Articulate 2 Storyline projects will not display in preview or player frame, all I get is a white page. Can anyone assist me with this?
I have seen some other recent posts that sound like the same issue. I'm having the same issue myself. It started earlier today when I first tried to use it. I wonder if it has something to do with the windows update I got today? I have windows 7 Pro.
I have tried repairing and reinstalling, but that didn't fix anything.
Sounds like something with Windows 7 - I have Windows 8.1 and touch wood - no issues like what you guys are experiencing. Any chance you could roll back to before previous update to test it
I wish that was the problem, but, I am using Windows 10 - never had an issue before. I will see if IT can download the latest flash drivers and see if that helps.
I tried looking at the updates to roll back to a previous update but it's telling me the last update was on the 16th?! Yet I clearly remember watching it update earlier today.
I'm beginning to wondering if it has something to do with a setting for multi-media being changed by the update. I'm gonna dig through the settings. Will let you know if I find something. And all the other posts related to this issue.
Hopefully Storyline 2 will soon be modified to work with the current Flash plugin. Top marks to Articulate support for identifying the problem this morning and to responding to my request so promptly - I imagine they saw the problem clearly on all their machines too!
Thanks for reaching out here. This is something that seemed to bubble up over night with a recent release of Flash player and our Support engineers were hard at work on this issue. We've got some updated documentation here and a workaround and we'll keep folks posted on any additional information once we've got information to share.
Unfortunately, my install is being blocked. I get a dialog window that says "The version you are trying to install is not the most current version." Please let us know as soon as there is a fix for the current version of flash.
FYI after installing the old flash plugin, make sure you don't select auto-update (one of 3 options). That will just re-update the flash player and perpetuate the issue.
I've heard that Adobe fixed the Flash player issue for Win 7 and Vista, but we're still waiting for additional information in regards to Win 8 and 10. If you're using Win 7 or Vista, you'll want to follow the steps here.
Good news! Adobe and Microsoft have fixed the Flash Player bug that broke many applications just before the new year, including Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and Articulate Studio.

I tried restarting and reloading the program without success as well Daniel, hopefully someone will have the answer for us shortly

Hi There - same for me, no preview available on courses that were fine on the 23/12/15. No changes to my operating system.

Any more news on this issue?
Same for me! This issue just started today!
Articulate support told me just now that the problem is with the latest Adobe Flash plugin (version 20 0 0 267). The fix is here and it works: https://www.articulate.com/support/storyline-2/preview-isnt-working-in-articulate-software-with-flash-player-2000267-installed
The fix they describe (for now) is to go back to the previous Flash plugin version. It didn't take long to do.

I now have a working Storyline 2 Preview mode.

Oh, thanks for popping in to mention that Matt. That would be a terrible loop to get stuck in.
Thanks everyone for your assistance, I will give the fix a go right now.
Matt - is it possible to check whether 'auto-update' is actually now on? And if so, to turn it off?
Any news on a fix for this?

Hi all,
Adobe and Microsoft released information that Windows 10 and 7/Vista have been updated.
Install the latest Windows updates to resolve it.
We're waiting for additional information in regards to Windows 8.

Here's how to install the latest Adobe/Microsoft update so you can preview your e-learning projects, edit videos, and launch CD-published courses again.
