Blurry images

Aug 12, 2014

Hi,

I created images in Illustrator and I saved them for web in jpg as 100% quality. When I imported them in Storyline, they look fuzzy when I go to preview the slide. I tried to import .gif and png as well. Images look fuzzy when I make a preview in storyline. Any idea?

Hi Jessie,

I know you mentioned Previewing, but in terms of publishing, you can adjust output quality from within the Publish dialog box:

Also, according to Articulate support, the largest size that can be imported into SL without losing resolution is 2048 x 2048.

Also, I'm definitely not image expert, so perhaps others can post, but I wonder if you saved as .png, which is lossless, vs. .jpg, which is lossy, if that would help?

I just received another complaint from a client that the images were coming up fuzzy. This happens whenever I lay an image inside of a shape. Insert > Shape > Format Shape > Fill > Picture Fill. I have done all that the support staff has asked for a clean and crisp picture. I have all of my compression settings set to maximum. I have the image set to the same size as the shape. This is easy. No matter what the size my image is, it should come up clean. No compressing, no degradation or fuzziness. How long before this bug gets fixed? This thread is 3 years old.
