Branching in a Quiz

Jan 15, 2016

If users select the incorrect answer in a quiz, I want to branch them back to the slide that covers that topic. That I understand how to do. But once they have re-reviewed that specific slide, is there a way to branch them back to the quiz so that they do not have to view the entire presentation again?

Thank you!

Hi Vanessa,

You'd need to look at a way to track that they were in the quiz previously, perhaps with a variable. Then on the slides that they'd review you'd need to include a trigger to jump to X slide when the user clicks the navigational button you've used, on the condition the variable is equal to the value you set from the question.

You could also make duplicate slides of the content - that would direct the user back to the question slide they were just on no matter what - keep those in a separate scene and hidden from the menu, and then the user won't notice that they're viewing a new copy of the slide?

If you're still having difficulty you're welcome to share a copy of your .story file here so that the community can take a look and weigh in with some other ideas.
