Branching Scenario Issue
Apr 09, 2013
I need to create a branching scenario that will allow a learner to click on a marker/button that will take them to another scene for FAQs.
I created a marker that takes a person to the correct slides (there are two); however, I don't know how to get the person back to where they started once they've read the FAQs. (How do I get them back to the slide they were on when they clicked on the marker?)
I know I could do this as a lightbox scenario and then it is easy to go back and forth from one slide to the other. My problem is that the lightbox is visually smaller than we want for this situation. We want the FAQs to be the same size as the other screens. Is there a way around this?
Thanks for the help!

Patrice, I do this kind of branching all the time by adding a button to the slide with a "Click to Return to ..." caption. Then I add a trigger that when the button is clicked, the user jumps back to the slide I indicate. Hope that helps!
Hi Patrice,
Have you tried inserting a marker or button that has a trigger that, when clicked, brings the user back to the initial slide?
Action: Jump to slide
Slide: whatever that slide is!
When: User clicks
Object: button
or you could change the default next button to do the same thing. If you double-click it in the trigger panel you can edit it
Hi Patrice, welcome to the community!
Would adding a simple trigger to an object or a player nav button that returns them to the previous slide be an option?
These are all great ideas. Thank you for the suggestions. I need to play with it a little more to see which will work best.
Thanks again!
